Area Houston Ballet & Theatre Announces 2008-2009 Season “Caliente…..A
Season With Sizzle”

Bay Area Houston Ballet, the Bay Area’s own professional ballet company is
gearing up for A Season With Sizzle! The 2008-2009 season is full of
exciting new productions, holiday classics and traditional ballets.

This sizzling season will open with Dance Combustion - A Mixed Repertoire
October 17-19, 2008. This performance of many styles of dance, from
classical to contemporary will attract and please dance lovers of all ages.
Then…kick off your 2008 holiday season with the ballet! Whether it’s a fun
run, a holiday breakfast or a ballet….BAHBT has something for you! The
annual sell out fundraising event Breakfast with the Sugar Plum Fairy, will
take place on Saturday November 22nd and closing out the holiday season will
be the holiday classic ballet The Nutcracker, December 5th-7th and
12th-14th, 2008 at the University of Houston – Clear Lake’s Bayou Theatre.
The BAHBT season will close Firebird & Carmen April 3-5, 2009. Stravinsky's
music, a Prince and 13 princesses to choose from, your fate in the hands of
a bird, bullfighting, the life of a gypsy, love riddled with jealousy and
desperate passion ending in death….only a few highlights of what this
exciting BAHBT premier has to offer!
All performances will take place at University of Houston – Clear Lake’s
Bayou Theatre. Season tickets are now on sale and offer premium seating,
