Formatting Guidelines for your Articles questions?

 Most important, just send us your info in text! Send it in your email, a word doc, or a notepad format. Send it as you want it to read. We will just copy and paste it into our website. Newest articles go on top of the page. Don't worry about font color or style. Go ahead and send us a logo in a jpeg, png, or bitmap format, if you would like and we will try to use it. In order to get your event, business article, or tip up in a timely manner please follow the simple guidelines.

 for the CORK BOARD use the cork board when you have a specific date for the event

 1) Line 1 - Date, Day of the week for your event and city

 2) The title of your event

 3) Brief description of your event including location, hours and contact information (include your website). Here's an example:

July 4, Friday - Galveston

4th of July Parade
A grand parade starting and finishing at the Galveston Railroad Museum located at 25th and The Strand, in the downtown historic district of
Galveston . Parade starts at 10:00am. Get there early for the best viewing spots. Free hotdogs and soft drinks at the museum after the parade.

 for the BUSINESS Section use this section when you have a press release about your business, a trend that effects your business and our community, or you just want to tell our community about your business or special you may be running. 1) Title your article and be sure to give us your website and contact info.

 for the VARIETY Section use this section if you came across a good tip, joke, or recipe that you want to share with the community. It helps if it is related to your business, but doesn't have to be. Be sure to include your name and website.

Remember that this type of marketing is designed to create interaction between your business and the community, so send the good stuff and send it often. We lay the new content on top of the page as we receive it and usually within 24 hours. You may submit up to 3 articles per week. You can submit each article separately or group them together in one note for the month.
