Mardi Gras 2008 has come and gone but the Krewe Babalu is still having fun. This
lively group of people decided to have fun and raise money at the same time with
their annual Bunny Bar Hop.
Starting at Jack’s Market Street Tavern, krewe members met to get registered and
to get their Bunny Hop ears and maps.
Twelve different establishments were on the route; clubs, eateries, and
coffee shops made up the hop stops for this evening of entertainment.
Listen in as Angela Chapman, president of the Krewe Babalu and several krewe
members visit with Talk of the Bay throughout the night.
At the last stop, back at Jack’s Tavern, the krewe held the costume contest and
raffle. Fun was had by one and all and the funds raised will benefit the
Children’s Center of Galveston. Way to go Krewe Babalu.
