ZKrewe Processional – Galveston

Parade participants gathered at the staging area near the Strand anxiously awaiting the onset of the ZKrewe Processional. Royalty sat in their carriages while high school bands cranked up the music.

Listen in as King Zanie XIV, Allen Taylor tells Talk of the Bay about the traditional King’s Toast to his queen, in front of the ZKrewe balcony.

White Zaftig, Tommie McMillian, enthusiastically teaches us the proper technique of Arrrrrrrrring ….and she looked beautiful the whole time.

The processional stopped as King Zanie XIV proceeded with his plans of popping the top off the champagne bottle and toasting the queen and all of their royal subjects.

Then we’ll hear the reactions of first time parade participant, Chelsey DuPont. I have think Chelsey is already making plans to participate in next year’s parade.
