Mardi Gras Beach Run, Sat. Jan 19 – Galveston

Saturday was COLD, no doubt but it didn’t stop runners and walkers from coming out and enjoying the Mardi Gras Beach Run.

Participants gathered up as Harold Jackson, with the YMCA, led the warm-ups to the sounds of the Dancing Queen.

Congratulations to Sara Zuger who finished 7th in her age group for the 5K race. Also hats off to 10K participants Paul Fjelsta, finishing 4th in the 55-59 age group and Frank Goodman who finished 3rd in the 60-64 category. Nice run everyone! see the photos...
