Right Now - Home
Grown Cantaloupes – League City
You wanna taste the best melons this side of the Pecos? Cantaloupes that
is…and they’re grown right here, in the Bay Area, in League City, along
Hwy 3 between 518 and 96. That’s right! You can’t miss the rich white
sandy soil that sits on the west side of Hwy 3 and the aroma of
cantaloupes. But you will miss the cantaloupe sign (if the sign is
down-they’re out) if you don’t get there early. This morning they didn’t
even get a chance to get the sign up before they sold out. 50 or so
melons were gone in about 10 minutes.

room. All done to raise money for scholarships and in the spirit of
having a great time, politicians from around the area will be teased,
taunted and harassed into doing silly things. Listen in as Mary Proudy,

Talk of the Bay all about this hysterical event. |

September 6 & 7 – Redfish

One of the largest, in the water, boating events in our area is the

extremely popular concert on the water, featuring one of our favorite
bands, Kelly McGuire. Approximately 150– 200 boaters gather up around
Starfleet’s Star Gazer for this fun Labor Day celebration. This year the
Kelly McGuire Band will be out on the water from 12:30 – 2pm both
Sunday, September 6 and Monday, September 7.

shopped the silent auction, anticipated the fun of the live auction,
purchased raffle tickets and enjoyed all the great food. All of this was

Hutchinson. Ray Joseph was killed in action while serving the 101st
