Village Fair and Texas Musical
Festival - May 9 11 League City
54 years and still going strong! The League City Lions Club is very
proud to present the 2008 Village Fair and Texas Musical Festival;
Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11. The fair will be held at Walter
Hall Park in League City, off Highway 3 between NASA Parkway and FM 518.

Summer Kick-Off
Fun Run Saturday, May 10 Clear Lake Area
In loving memory to their son, Marigln and Stephen Glenn started up the
Summer Kick-Off Fun Run in 1991. Seventeen years later they are still
co-hosting this race together. So many changes have happened in the
Clear Creek area, including the tearing down and rebuilding of Clear
Creek High School but still this 5K run not only survived but it
thrived. Listen in to Talk of

Galveston
Historic Homes Tour May 2-4 & May 811 Galveston
34 years and still going strong, the Galveston Historic Homes Tour,
hosted by the Galveston Historical Foundation is one of the islands most
popular events and this year its even bigger and better than before.

The Golden Age
of Ornithology and Printmaking March 15 May 30
In conjunction with the 2008 Featherfest celebration, the Galveston
County Historical Museum, will host a reception on March 15, to
introduce The Golden Age of Ornithology and Printmaking. This exhibit
will be on display at the museum until May 30 and will feature works
from the late18th and early 19th centuries. Listen in to Talk
of the Bay as Jody Wright-Gidley, Director of the museum,
tells us a little bit about what youll see at the exhibit.
Disco Daze Casino Friday May
16 Clear Lake Area
Break out your gold chains, polyester and your best John Travolta moves,
the Community Assistance Providers of Clear Lake (CAP) will be hosting a
night of disco fun at the Bay Oaks Country Club. On Friday, May 16, the
Disco Daze Casino will include lots of gaming fun, great raffles and
lots of that great disco sound by Musical Cheers. Listen in to

Strawberry Festival May 16
18, Friday Sunday - Pasadena
Pasadena once held the title as the Strawberry Capitol of the South. Now
we can brag on having the largest strawberry cake in the world. On
Friday, May 16, at 5pm, the 2008 Strawberry Festival will officially
open for a weekend of live entertainment, mud volleyball championships,
carnival rides, and of course crates of strawberries. Listen as LaDonna
