My
dream...my passion...my business.
by Pat Patterson
I first rode a Segway in St. Maarten about a year ago. Two days later I went
to the Bahamas and rode again. I decided then and there that I would start
my own Segway tour business. When my wife, Lia, and I got back to our home
in Kemah, Texas, we started planning. I kept dreaming of the excitement of
our first ride and I so wanted to share that feeling with other people. The
pure joy I felt while gliding on that Segway consumed me. I couldn’t get it
off my mind. I knew that other people would feel the same way I did and this
motivated me to open Lean & Glide Segway Tours in Kemah, Texas.
Experience the pure joy of gliding on a Segway!
Even though they were taking a big chance by investing so much money in a
new business venture, Pat quit his grueling 12-hour a day job that he didn’t
like to launch Lean & Glide Segway Tours. Segways are fun and easy to learn
how to ride. It only takes about 10 minutes to get used to “gliding” on a
Segway. They’re popular among every age group and everyone quickly learns to
maneuver the machines with simple movements. There’s no accelerator and no
brake, just lean forward to go forward, lean back to go backward, stand up
straight to stop, and lean into the turns like you’re skiing. Whether you’re
young – or not so young - if you can stand, you can ride a Segway. You see
things when you’re riding a Segway that you don’t see when you’re driving in
Kemah and Clear Lake Shores. People love them and business is great.
