36 children from El Darado
by Rocky Hicks
This is an email from me asking you for some help. As you may know, 36
children from El Darado are due to arrive at Kids Harbor, literally any
minute. With all opinions aside, these children need our help. The Mayor of
Liverpool, Mike Peters, has graciously offered the city hall of Liverpool to
be a drop off point for donations. What donations? Glad you asked. Kids
Harbor is in need of daily essentials for these children. Here is a list:
Prayer
Piano - this request was on the news last night, the children like to sing
songs
Sheets - twin size
Toothpaste and brushes
Pillows
Canned goods
Soap/shampoo
Laundry detergent
Toilet paper
Paper towels
Please drop off your items at the city hall and not Kids Harbor. The staff
is under extreme stress, as you can imagine. The fewer vistors the better at
this time. I am sure there will opportunities to volunteer and help at some
point, I do not have any information at this time. Again, thank you for
those that are able to help. I just think of those little children caught up
in this and how hard it has to be for them.
Please remember the children in your prayers, this is what they need the
most. Let us also pray for the staff of Kids Harbor, the other kids in these
homes, and anyone involved in the decisions for the future of these kids.
Please pass this on to as many people in the area as you can. If you have
any questions call me @ 281-782-4220. I am usually up pretty late so call if
you have any questions.
