CCCC of PTAs’ 3rd Annual Reflections
Reception Held February 26th
by Pam Moore
The Clear Creek Community Council of PTAs and guests had a great time at the
3rd Annual Reflections Reception, held at the Back Bay Bed & Breakfast Inn,
Seabrook, on February 26. Thanks to all of the students who participated in
the program, there were over 230 pieces of work to display. These entries
included musical composition, video, dance choreography; literature, poems
to short stories; as well as photography and visual arts. This year’s theme,
“I Can Make a Difference by…” spurred a variety of ideas such as: helping
the elderly or our families, recycling, sharing a smile, donating money to a
good cause, and many more. The amount of talent from our CCISD students
presented quite a showcase to be proud of.
The beautiful Back Bay Bed & Breakfast Inn was the perfect setting to
spotlight all these wonderful works of art. Families and friends of invitees
snacked on cookies and punch as they walked around viewing all the wonderful
entries. Over 300 people signed the Guest Book before entering the exhibit.
CCISD Board of Trustee VP Stuart Stromeyer and wife, Stefanie, spent a long
time admiring many of the fantastic pieces. Dean Muths, CCISD Director of
Visual and Performing Arts, spoke with some of the students about their
entries, and encouraged them to continue expressing themselves creatively
through art.

Thank you to our sponsors, The Back Bay Bed & Breakfast Inn (Margaret Kidd
and family) and The Seabrook Association, for their gracious support and
contributions that allowed us to hold such a wonderful event.
