Galveston Uncorked!
Swirl, sip and repeat, through the streets of downtown Galveston, during
elegant vintner dinners or a special champagne brunch at the Sixth Annual
Galveston Uncorked!
This four day extravaganza begins on Thursday, May 15 with vintner dinners
hosted by Palm’s M&M, Speculoos Patisserie Café, and Luigi’s Ristorante
Italiano. Prices range from $93 to $160 per person. Sit in elegance during a
special Titanic themed dinner featuring the original menu from the ship’s
voyage at The Tremont House on Friday, May 16. The dinner ties in with
Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at Moody Gardens’ Discovery Museum
commemorating the 96th anniversary of Titanic’s sinking. Vintner dinners,
can be purchased directly from participating restaurants.
On Saturday, May 18, wine enthusiasts can participate in the annual wine
stroll from 5 to 8 p.m. and have the opportunity to sample multiple wines at
12 stops in The Historic Downtown Strand District. Tickets are $35 per
person in advance and $45 per person, on Saturday. Attendees will be able to
sample two to four wines from a single vintner at each location on the
downtown stroll. Wines will be paired with light hors d’oeuvres provided by
Kroger. In conjunction with Galveston Uncorked!
Stroll tickets are limited and may be purchased online at
www.galveston.com or on the day of
the stroll at Edna’s Room at The Grand 1894 Opera House, 2018 Postoffice,
beginning at 4 p.m. All participants should check-in at Edna’s room where
they will receive a wine glass, armband and map.
To culminate the weekend, the Hotel Galvez has added a special champagne
sampling of Barefoot Bubbly to their Sunday Brunch. Brunch is $28.95 adults,
$24.95 seniors (60+), and $14.95 children (6-12) and is from 11 a.m. to 1
