BIG DADDY WEAVE TO HEADLINE CHRISTIAN MUSIC FESTIVAL
submitted by Mark Moss
The Second Annual League City Christian Music Festival will feature national
recording artist Big Daddy Weave to headline this year’s event. The festival
will be held on April 11th and 12th at the property recently purchased by
League City United Methodist Church on the corner of League City Parkway and
Calder Drive. Senior Pastor Bill Jenkins has faith that the second year of
the festival will be as successful as the first. “The first festival tested
our faith as we learned how to put together an event like this. The fact
that it was a success testifies to God’s help and the dedication of those
who shared the vision. We believe that God has begun something that will
further His cause, and bless a lot of people.”
The second year of the festival promises to be even bigger than last year’s
event. Committee chair Jay Flowers is excited about the idea of bringing the
community together for this event. “We really appreciate all of the great
community support we received last year to launch an area wide celebration
set to music. This year, we’re excited about doing even more as we’re
involving local churches to sell tickets to the show, and giving them back
half of what they sell to their youth groups.”
There will be 2 stages with virtually non-stop music for the duration of the
event. Many local acts will also be entertaining the crowds for both Friday
and Saturday. In addition, there will be a motorcycle stunt demo, a martial
arts demonstration, and plenty of family fun for all ages.
Ticket pricing is varied depending on when you would like to attend. An
advanced purchase 2 day pass is available for $20 for adults and $10 for
youth ages 4 through 10.
One day passes are also available as well. To purchase tickets or for more
information about the League City Christian Music Fest, visit the festival
website at www.lcmusicfest.com or call the League City United Methodist
Church office at (281) 332-1557.
