The America Heart Association Heart Walk will be held October 25th, 2008 at
the Kemah Boardwalk, over 2,000 participants are expected to attend. After
suffering from a heart attack himself, Congressman Lampson will be the
honorary spokesperson for this year’s campaign. “Everyday I am reminded of
the heart operation my family and I endured, that constant reminder keeps
heart disease and health at the forefront of my mind and helps me continue
the fight to fund heart research,” said Rep. Lampson. “The American Heart
Association has saved countless lives through its philanthropy and because
of what they have done and what they will do, infinite more will be helped.”
The American Heart Association Heart Walk which promotes physical activity
and heart-healthy living in a fun family environment and raises funds to
save lives from this country's No. 1 and No. 3 killers -- heart disease and
stroke.
