The Texas Gathering and Wild West Show – League City
Armadillo races, Texas Victorian dancers, weaving, leather works,
a cowboy and Lakota Indians all came together at the Butler Longhorn Museum.
Held on the beautiful grounds of Heritage Park, this Wild West Show was enjoyed
by young and old alike.
Museum visitors were treated to everything from Longhorn displays; watching the
Grand March, Victorian style; a traditional Buffalo Dance performed by Tatonka;
a handsome cowboy named Nolan Leach performing rope tricks on his horse, Bravo;
and listening to the beautiful voice of Miss Lettie, The Singing Cowgirl.
Listen in to Talk of the Bay as the curator, Jennifer Wycoff, tells us about the
museum, a special guest and the entertaining day. You’ll also get a little taste
of some of the great western entertainment that we enjoyed. This was a perfect
event for the whole family day so be sure to mark this one on your calendar for
next year.
